こんにちは、

This is David, a Taiwanese professional
currently residing and working in Japan.
私は台湾出身のプロフェッショナル、Davidです。
現在は日本に滞在し、仕事をしています。

Previously, my background was in naval architecture and ocean engineering,
and I have experience working as a marine radar engineer in Hiroshima.
学生時代は造船と海洋工学の分野で活動しており、
広島で海事レーダー整備士としての経験もあります。

Presently, I am employed at SOL,
a specialized distributor that focuses on semiconductor inspection equipment
sourced from a leading manufacturer based in the United States.
現在、私は米国を拠点とする大手メーカーからの
半導体原材料検査機器を専門に取り扱う、SOLで働いています。

Having spent two years here in Japan,
I've acclimated to many aspects of Japanese culture.
日本での2年間の生活を通じて、
日本の文化の多くの側面に慣れ親しんできました。

Today, I'd like to share some observations on the differences I've noticed:
今日は、私が気付いた違いについていくつかの観察を共有したいと思います：


Breakfast/朝食:

In Taiwan, it's common for people to purchase breakfast
on their way to work and consume it later at their workplace.
台湾では、多くの人々が出勤途中に朝食を購入し、
職場で後で食べることが一般的です。

In contrast, in Japan, most individuals have breakfast
at home before commuting to work.
一方、日本では、ほとんどの人が自宅で朝食をとり、
それから出勤します。


Take-out/テイクアウト:

Eating outside and purchasing food is more prevalent in Taiwan
than cooking at home.
台湾では外で食事をしたり、食べ物を購入することが
自宅での調理よりも一般的です。

In fact, it's often more cost-effective to eat out.
実際、外食する方がコストパフォーマンスが良いことがよくあります。

Additionally, food shops in Taiwan are accustomed
to packing leftover food for customers to take out.
また、台湾の飲食店では、
残りの食べ物を包んで持ち帰るのが普通です。


Cultural Adaptation/文化的適応:

Taiwanese people generally have an open-minded attitude
towards foreign cultures and languages.
台湾人は一般的に外国の文化や言語に対して
開かれた態度を持っています。

While proficiency may vary,
there's a willingness to engage and communicate with people
from different parts of the world.
能力は異なるかもしれませんが、
異なる地域の人々と関わり、
コミュニケーションを取ろうとする意欲があります。

These observations highlight some of the cultural distinctions
between Taiwan and Japan.
これらの観察は、台湾と日本の文化の違いを示しています。

As someone who navigates between these two cultures,
I find these nuances fascinating and enriching.
これら2つの文化の間を行き来する人として、
私はこれらの微妙な違いを興味深く感じ、豊かに感じています。
